The Christmas shop

In this episode, which begins on Christmas Eve, Mr. Bean goes to Harrods to buy decorations. As always, he wants to test what he buys! Wanting to know if the string of lights he's about to buy works, he plugs it in at the back of the store, thus switching off the store's huge exterior lights, plunging it into darkness. (Disruptive)

Mr. Bean is drawn to a giant nativity scene. He begins to act out the scene of Jesus' birth by moving the figures. Just then, a cashier from the store asks him to stop, conjuring up a police officer character. (Genius and childlike)

The Christmas market

He meets his friend Irma in front of a jewelry store and shows her the gift she wants: a ring. Bean goes into the store. Irma is delighted. (Immune to emotions)

Mr. Bean returns to the Christmas market where a huge turkey is up for grabs. To win it, you have to guess its weight. Mr. Bean figures out the trick by weighing himself with and without the turkey, and guesses its exact weight, much to the astonishment of the butcher. (Genius)

Mr. Bean then helps the Salvation Army bandmaster collect money for his quest. Bean tracks down a young thief and quickly fills the jar with coins and jewels. While the musician is putting the loot in his car, Mr. Bean steps in to conduct the band. He manages to get them playing to the delight of the audience, who applaud him. (A helpful and ingenious)

Mr. Bean arrives too late to buy the last Christmas tree. He steals the enormous tree from the market. Back at his apartment, he receives letters he has sent himself. He decides to make a large Christmas cracker with some small ones he found in an old box. Above the fireplace, Mr. Bean hangs two pairs of socks and toasts himself. (Solitaire)

In the evening, he opens his door to some little singers with a box of chocolates in his hand. He slams the door in their faces once the song is over. (Stingy)

Christmas Eve

Christmas Day, Mr. Bean opens the presents: a pair of socks for himself, eyes for Teddy, and a piece of cheese on a mousetrap. (Genie)

While preparing the enormous turkey he won the day before with stuffing, Mr. Bean loses his watch in it. Irma rings the doorbell, and Bean opens the door with some difficulty. She collapses when she sees Mr. Bean, his head inside the turkey and a saw in his hand. (Distracted)

Once the turkey was gone, there wasn't much left to eat. Irma gave her gift to Mr. Bean: a model boat that delighted him. Bean, in turn, gave the gift he'd bought to a very happy Irma. But her joy was short-lived when she saw that the package wasn't what she'd wanted. Mr. Bean had actually given her the picture that had been on the back of the ring in the shop. Irma burst into tears. (Immune to emotions)

It was at this moment that he gave her his second gift. Irma's spirits lifted… a jewelry box wrapped in gift paper containing… a hook to hang the picture on the wall! This was the last straw for Irma, who stormed out of the apartment in a rage. (Hurtful)

Mr. Bean finds himself alone and sad. He decides to blow up his Christmas Cracker while wishing himself a Merry Christmas. (Lonely)
