Mr. Bean's Teddy Bear
In what other series could we have done the biography of a teddy bear? None! Teddy is unique, a symbol once again of Mr Bean's singularity.

Teddy
Full name: Teddy
First appearance: The Trouble with Mr. Bean - episode 5
Last appearance: Hairby Mr. Bean of London - episode 14
Number of episodes: 8
Character: He's a teddy bear!
Companion: Mr. Bean
Who are you, Teddy?
It's impossible to imagine Mr. Bean without his lifelong companion: Teddy. This little brown teddy bear is much more than just a toy. For Bean, he's a loyal friend, a confidant, and even sometimes a partner in adventures.
Its constant presence brings a touch of emotion and gentle humor amidst the daily chaos of its owner.
However, it's not until the 5th episode, "The Misadventures of Mr. Bean," that we see Teddy asleep in Mr. Bean's bed, who is running late for his dentist appointment. He makes sure to tuck the duvet back in properly so his bear doesn't get cold!
A bear full of personality
Teddy seems to have a soul in Mr. Bean's eyes. The latter talks to him, puts glasses on him, gives him a box to sleep in… He treats him like a living being.
Teddy embodies the childlike part that Mr. Bean has never left behind. Through him, the series reveals a touching side of Bean: that of a lonely man who needs an emotional anchor, even an imaginary one.
Nevertheless, Teddy is sometimes mistreated, such as the day Bean uses him as a paintbrush to repaint the apartment, and also when he cuts off his head while closing a drawer...
Teddy's evolution
Throughout the episodes, several versions of Teddy were used:
A thinner, slightly deformed original model.
Then a rounder, softer Teddy, better suited to close-ups and visual gags.

Teddy, what will become of you in 2026?
Teddy's plush toy appears in the first Mr. Bean film and plays a major role in the animated series. It has generated significant revenue as a popular piece of merchandise. It is unknown whether Rowan Atkinson kept the original.
